About

ProbleMattic is the workshop, notebook, junk drawer, and evidence locker of Matthew Kulcsar: a software engineer, project manager, technologist, platform builder, emergency-services-trained helper, grandfather, and lifelong collector of broken systems, odd behaviors, useful nonsense, and the small human patterns people usually step over. The work here comes from a practical place: years of turning ambiguity into action, rescuing messy processes, building tools, raising families through chaos, and noticing that most “big” ideas usually begin as one strange little sentence that refuses to leave.

The site is organized around that habit of noticing. The Junk Drawer collects the emotional and everyday oddities. Field Notes trace the systems underneath the noise. In Defense Of reconsiders things too easily dismissed. Noodlings leaves room for reflection, and Scribbles catches the sparks that do not need a full courtroom. Some pieces are polished. Some are intentionally left with raccoon prints. All of them come from the same operating belief: questionable methods can still produce solid outcomes, especially when the question is honest, the method is alive, and the raccoon has been allowed near the keyboard under limited supervision.
